Course Content

The Yoga Junction 200 hour Yoga Alliance-certified teacher training offers more than 200 hours of study covering:
history, philosophy, Eastern and Western anatomy, psychology, meditation, asana families, alignment, pranayama, various styles of practice, and Sanskrit. In the teaching practicum you’ll gain knowledge and experience in teaching, sequencing, working with special populations, strengthening your voice, the business of yoga, and more. Optional electives include such options as pre/postnatal yoga, children’s yoga and Ayurveda. You’ll train with Yoga Junction teachers, including Carey King, Amanda Fiorino, Nichole Golden, Chad Fatino, and Melissa Williams, as well as guest teachers including Felicia Tomasko, Olivia Hsu, Ann Bortz and Lori Grable. By training with a diverse group of teachers you’ll be exposed to a multitude of styles, techniques, and specialties, enabling you to leave our program confident and prepared to teach.

Our program is divided into two components. The first Main Module is open to anyone wishing to expand their practice and consists of 50 hours of in-depth study covering East/West anatomy, History, Asana, Pranayama and more. The Main Module is a pre-requisite for the Teaching Track of the program. After completing the Main Module, required and elective modules will be offered monthly. There are six required modules, two teaching practicums, and multiple electives (you must take 3). To be considered for the program, email to receive an application.

Each weekend will consist of roughly 13 hours, meeting Wednesday and Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. All modules will have required reading and homework assignments.
